Plum flower，冬梅 is the national flower of China. They usually blossom during the winter at around 6-7 degree Celsius. Their distinct red colours often used in washi tape design on a winter scenery.
In order to match the red background scenery, I choose the Chinese girl character to be in a red dress too, holding a red Chinese umbrella.
